Hold Your Thought There!!!
In a World full of thinkers and doers a man with an appetite for a peaceful mind is truly not rare to find. What is however, difficult to understand is the fetishes he holds inside his heart to survive the unknown. You see him take risks with everything in his life including the way he is with you only to bring about in a change that is called a Quantum of Happiness in the everlasting degree of malice and mischief within our hearts and a robust effort that counts on one's own spirit of championship of not making a mistake again. In daylight, he seems like the one person who is like a rock that cannot be moved but not a mountain that is cutting across your way. By night, he intoxicates himself only to ignore the existence f what is already his. At this time, he is still a rock but more stony than ever. Quoting, "Lennon", I keep saying to myself, 'Let it be". I keep telling myself, "Let him be, he knows what he is doing. He has everything set in his mind. I cannot change that. I am merely a vessel of sheer joy for him, but not everlasting joy. So, should I disrupt this existing peace. Why should I take it away from him? " But I only hope that he does not give up on what he already has, on his terms, in his own ways. I just wish that he would hold his thought once and leave it on me.......just once. Have faith in my judgement, just like I have in his. Trust me with only his thought, when I keep trusting him with my life.

I change my mind!
I change my mind,
About the scams that were never meant for me.
The hallucinations that were dictated for thee.
The raptures of time that were lost in thought.
The good times wasted that were priceless and never bought.
The creepy little story that crept silently into my mind
The artificial love that practically made me blind.
The "Reader's Digest", with an article on 'Happiness'.
Semi-functional or dis-functional memoirs of suicide notes.
The unrealistic but happily sadistic stolen quotes.
The fractured organ which lay bloodless and cold.
The piece of bread filled with green unwanted molds.
The cruelest of famine that was brought about with the wet weather.
The particles of dust that never stayed together.
The syllables which made no sense without a rhyme.
The deciphered language of anger that could only be a crime.
The song "Hallelujah" that was just not written about mass.
The penguins of Australia wear their tuxedo fur with class.
The dance moves that were forgiven with patience and emancipation.
The richest that were undone with the gain of a nation.
The reasons are not very difficult to find ,
Why I suddenly change my mind!

Per-happening
Perhaps the most beautiful things in life are not meant to be understood.
Perhaps life is meaningless without a dream and a passion to pursue it.
Perhaps calculations may not always lead to an expected answer.
Perhaps everything in all the love we give and take, the love that is lost is most precious.
Perhaps the mind overshadows what we are willing to do with ourselves.
Perhaps the most deep words can sound the shallowest
Perhaps we send love to those who cannot receive it when they want it.
Perhaps the human psyche is too irresponsible to note down the cutest of details.
Perhaps silence can be noisier than a battle that is distinctively inconclusive.
Perhaps the rainbow colours are the most uncommon colours in this World.
But how does it matter? How does it equalize us? How do we carry out?
What must it take to survive the grimly word PERHAPS.
Perhaps this does not make much sense to you.
Perhaps it was never meant to be!
The simplest of words inspire us.....dedicated to John Lennon.

Shutter Island-Shutting My mind!
While the World is done watching Shutter Island and also done with appreciating the movie or even criticizing it ,I decided to watch the latest installment of literally Scorsese's MIND BLOWING movies..The movie is adapted from a novel by Dennis Lehane and written for the screen by Laeta Kalogridis who happens to have executive produced Avatar. The cinematography need not be mentioned to be excellent but I must mention that it has played such a very strong role in the movie and the plot. The plot is very simple in the beginning:
The year is 1954 and the time is post World War II.Two U.S. Marshalls are sent to a prison for insane criminals located on an isolated island. They are instructed to investigate a case of a patient cum prisoner going missing.Leonardo Di Caprio plays Marshall Daniels who is very keen to find out what is really happening on that island and the secrets that the place holds. While the doctors and staff and even interrogating patients makes Daniels even more suspicious of the institution's intentions, he falls prey to his past and his traumatic memories of fighting the War and also hallucinations of his dead wife.He finally finds out what is really happening in Shutter Island.
Dr Cawley has been portrayed with ease by Ben Kingsley however, because there was barely much to act for him and I personally thought that his role in this movie could have a been a little more energetic.Di Caprio is fascinating to watch and I really cannot say any buts for him.I thought he was exceptional in one particular scene where he dreams of his wife for the first time in the prison and the instant change of emotions and situations groomed by the the cinematography.According to me that was the most surreal but romantic I have seen in recent times.
While the climax was entertaining and confusing, some people like me just might be able to realize what is really happening if they have seen too many movies based on human psyche.I love the location and the very intelligently chosen time creating a story automatically.O ther cast members worth mentioning are Michelle Williams as Daniel's wife and Jackie Earle Haley as Noyce a dangerous yet helpless patient.Jackie Earle Haley is famous for his role in Watchmen and As Freddy Kruger from A Nightmare at Elm Street(the remake of course !)
The music is not exceptional but good enough!Once again, hands down to Robert Richardson for his exceptional cinematography. The list of his other works include Tarantino movies like Kill Bill series and Inglorious Bastards , Aviator ,The Horse Whisperer and U Turn and also the upcoming movie Eat Pray Love!
Ispite of the fact that my favorite quote might give a little way to the plot I would still mention it here:"This place makes me wonder.Which would be worse? To live as a monster or die as a good man ?"

A disfunctional Tuesday in Kolkata
Its Tuesday morning and this is what I saw when I looked down the otherwise busy street through my window. Everyone is too scared to go out. No, its not last evening's rain that was actually quite a relief from the heat. It is what we refer to, as a Bandh(strike). This time it has been called on for 12 hours all over India. Its obviously a political strike and hence as usual the civilians suffer.
People who survive on daily wages are losing a day's wage. The whole country is losing on trade and there is an approximate loss of over Rs.700 crores.People are stuck in airports stations and even inside trains because of this nuisance called strike.Toilets are locked down in the city airport and people cannot even practice their basic human right. Private or public transport has been stalled and party people(not the night club and disco party people) are rallying down the streets to show their importance .
Unfortunately, all that I can see is the loss. Its not helping anyone or any idea at all.Strikes should be banned in India. But then people will say that strikes are the basic rights of a democratic republican country but where the basic survival rights have been taken away from the civilians democracy can only be a myth.
While political parties quarrel, we the people suffer and cannot do much about it.During elections it feels like choosing between a thief and a robber to reign over us because no one is straight(all sorts of puns intended). So, here I am, writing about Kolkata's piece of suffering in the strike instead of the happiest of times that Kolkata celebrated last evening for the rain after the scorching heat of Summer and the daily fight in sweat and humidity.
